The rocky film title is a simple scrolling effect right to left. The letters take up all the the screen and are white on a black background. The director obviously wanted to focus the audiences attention on the title card.
We might be able to use this effect in our film, but without it looking so obnoxious and without the cheesy music to go with it. The films after this follow the same kind of convention, with the exception of the 4th and 6th, I think.
